mada debit card payments now accepted

You can now purchase new train tickets or modify existing bookings quickly and easily online at www.sar.com.sa or via the SAR mobile app (iOS and Android) using mada debit card payments.
 
mada has been added to the growing list of payment methods available when buying train tickets online or on app with SAR due to its rising popularity and based upon customer feedback.
 
Please see below some Frequently Asked Questions regarding mada payments:
 
1. How will I know if my debit card can be used for online payments with SAR?
 
You can obtain further details by contacting your bank or debit card issuer.
 
2. How will I use my mada debit card on the SAR website and mobile app?
 
When completing the Payment Options section of the booking process, you should enter your card number, card holder name, expiry date and CVC. A verification code will then be sent via SMS to the card holder’s mobile number. You must ensure that you have sufficient funds within your account to complete the transaction. You must also ensure that you have downloaded the latest version of the SAR mobile app onto your smartphone device.
 
3. If I have made a booking with a mada debit card and I cancel it, how long will it will take to refund the money back into my account?
 
The refund of tickets paid by mada will be instantaneous.
 
4. Is it possible to modify bookings using mada debit cards?
 
Yes, it is possible to modify tickets on the SAR website with mada and it will soon be a payment option for modifications on the SAR mobile app.
 
5. Which bank cards accept mada online payments?

6. Can I use mada debit card to pay via the SAR Contact Centre or at stations?
 
mada debit card is only certified for online payments via the SAR website and mobile app, so it is not available for payments made over the phone. 
Customers paying for tickets at the station, will be able to continue use their mada debit card to pay.
